I was born and raised in a small town laying happily under the Californian sun and there I remain. I'm an adventurer and homebody, a misfit and His beloved, a cocktail of trouble and grace. I'm more contradiction than constant; always relying on His mercies anew. My story is flawed and messy and mostly imperfect, but His love is redeeming and whole which affords me the amazing opportunity to share the wonder that is life and art with you.

Bold colors and bright patterns fascinated me from the moment I could hold a crayon. And so, the love story with creating began. 

In college I honed my craft under the direction of some amazingly conceptual artists, only to chase a more practical "dream". Enter marriage and work and home-ownership. Adulthood seemed to welcome me with a lack of beauty and passion. So, Amber Thomas Makes was born on the white farm table in our small home.
